dc.description Presented at the 2014 Lilly Conference on College & University Teaching & Learning in Traverse City, MI.
dc.description.abstract This session aims to document current uses and needs regarding professional development for graduate student instructors (i.e. graduate students who teach undergraduates). Findings from graduate student instructors (GSIs) at eight institutions that participated in the pilot of the Faculty Survey of Student Engagement for Graduate Student Instructors (FSSE-G) are utilized to identify impactful methods of professional development as well as potential areas for improvement. The goal of the session is to help participants understand ways they can enhance GSI professional development as instructors.
